Engineering programs remain critical enablers of the higher education innovation mission, translating scientific discoveries into real-world solutions, and driving regional economic growth.

At a recent Tradeline conference, Ballinger Senior Principal Craig S. Spangler, FAIA and Associate Principal Rich Dengler, AIA, WELL AP presented emerging models for engineering facilities that support today’s rapidly evolving teaching and research needs. They examined differentiating facility features that foster partnerships across disciplines, integrate an increasingly diverse range of sciences and shared resources, and maximize opportunities for innovation that benefit both academia and local economies.

The session, part of Tradeline’s “New Plans and Strategies for Campuses and Buildings” conference, took place October 6th and 7th in Scottsdale, AZ. View the full conference program here.
