University of Pennsylvania | Annenberg Public Policy Center

Designed in association with Maki & Associates, the Annenberg Public Policy Center embodies the mission of University of Pennsylvania’s School for Communication through themes of transparency and openness.
The exterior palette of layered glass and wood invites light into the building while the interior is defined by open spaces, low partitions and transparent surfaces. Focused on connectivity and flexibility, open and private offices and stair towers ring the perimeter of the 52,800 SF building. They are linked to amenity spaces such as the multi-purpose “agora” via a three-story central atrium.
The building’s engineering components include:
• Active double façade
• Natural/mechanical ventilation
• District power transformation
• Daylighting
• High performance glazing
• Radiant floor heat in the agora
