Grove City College | STEM Hall

Stem Hall, a two-phase, 150,000 SF initiative for the Hopeman School for Science and Engineering, is the fourth building Ballinger designed at Grove City College.
STEM Hall finalized the transformation of this campus precinct and restored the original intent of this Collegiate Gothic Olmsted-designed campus. Fostering interdisciplinary teaching and research, the program includes new space for chemistry, biology, physics, math, computer sciences, chemical engineering, electrical + computational engineering and mechanical engineering.
“Science in sight” has been a design driver for the College, and abundant daylight and visual access characterize this building, putting teaching labs “on display.” Cluster labs around a common shared prep area increase utilization, so labs can be changed out and fewer labs constructed.
