Senior Project Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical power systems concepts and implement designs of electrical systems for complex campuses and buildings
  • Preparing technical drawings and specifications for electrical systems to ensure that their installation and operation conform to specifications, codes, standards and client requirements
  • Coordinating the installation, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure that the electrical systems comply with specifications, codes and client requirements
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff in the preparation of studies, presentations, analyses, construction documents and related materials.
  • Preparing specifications for purchases of materials and equipment
  • Develop project staffing and work execution plans
  • Managing project designs, staff, scheduled and execution strategies to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Collaborating with Chief Engineer to develop design standards and quality assurance programs
  • Developing relationships with client representatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering or Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Registration: PE license required
  • Strong working knowledge of building and infrastructure systems, standards and building safety codes
  • Advanced knowledge of contractual and liability issues
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP preferred
