Responsibilities
- Develop electrical power systems concepts and implement designs of electrical systems for complex campuses and buildings
- Preparing technical drawings and specifications for electrical systems to ensure that their installation and operation conform to specifications, codes, standards and client requirements
- Coordinating the installation, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure that the electrical systems comply with specifications, codes and client requirements
- Mentoring and supervising junior staff in the preparation of studies, presentations, analyses, construction documents and related materials.
- Preparing specifications for purchases of materials and equipment
- Develop project staffing and work execution plans
- Managing project designs, staff, scheduled and execution strategies to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Collaborating with Chief Engineer to develop design standards and quality assurance programs
- Developing relationships with client representatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering or Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Registration: PE license required
- Strong working knowledge of building and infrastructure systems, standards and building safety codes
- Advanced knowledge of contractual and liability issues
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Revit MEP preferred
