The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Middleman Family Pavilion, designed by Ballinger, was recognized with a 2023 Interior Design Award from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Pennsylvania East Chapter. The project won first place in the category of healthcare facility over 50,000 SF at the Philadelphia Region Interior Design Awards Gala held May 12th. The competition, which received over 150 submissions, celebrates the interior design community of Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

The CHOP Middleman Family Pavilion, opened in 2022 in King of Prussia, PA, extends specialized healthcare into the growing communities surrounding Philadelphia. The state-of-the-art hospital is designed to provide advanced pediatric care while imbuing patients and families with a sense of joy. Interiors are characterized by natural light, colorful shapes, and playful graphics.
