Two Ballinger projects were selected by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, as part of the American Architecture Awards. Since 1994, the awards program has reflected the changing state of US architecture and revealed new design trends by today’s foremost practitioners.
Inova Health Center – Oakville, designed by Ballinger and Ennead, was selected for an American Architecture Award in the category of Hospitals/Medical Centers. The April Sampson Cancer Center, designed by Ballinger, received Honorable Mention in the same category.
Both projects will be celebrated at an awards gala in Chicago on December 11th and published by Metropolitan Arts Press in “Global Design + Urbanism XXV” next year.
