On November 16th, Ballinger had the distinction of winning three 2023 AIA Pennsylvania Architectural Excellence Awards: a Merit award for the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Chemistry Tower and both a COTE award and AIA Pennsylvania’s highest honor, the Silver Medal for Swarthmore College’s Maxine Frank Singer Hall.

Senior Principal Craig S. Spangler, AIA was Principal-in-Charge for both projects and was honored that these buildings were acknowledged by AIA Pennsylvania. “Both of these projects serve as dynamic learning and discovery flagships for the disciplines housed within and will be enduring contributor’s to each of their campuses.” he said.

Ballinger was also recognized as an AIA Pennsylvania EPiC firm for our support of emerging professionals in the field of architecture.

We are elated to celebrate these awards and those of our peers.
